I’m still buzzing from the terrific news that U.K. publishers Oneworld have acquired the rights to the next three Birder Murder mysteries. As the publisher of the 2015 AND 2016 Man Booker Prize winners, Oneworld must surely be the most high-profile independent publisher in the world. To have them joining forces with Dundurn to bring the Birder Murders to the rest of the world means the series could not be in better hands.
Many people at Oneworld, Dundurn and WCA (my agents) were involved in putting this deal together, and I’d like to thank them very much all for their hard work. Publication dates for the Oneworld editions are still to be set, but are likely to follow Dundurn’s Canadian lead: A Shimmer of Hummingbirds – Spring 2017, A Tiding of Magpies – Spring 2018 and Book 6 (Title to be announced shortly) – Spring 2019.
I’ll be posting updates, along with my 2017 schedule of appearances, on these pages as things take shape, so please re-visit this site to stay up-to-date with all the latest Birder Murder news.
